Long Term Orientation

Long Term Orientation (LTO) consists of 6 weeks of intense missions training. Each day includes of a time of worship, 3 class periods and several hours of outreach. Currently we are offering this twice a year: April/May and September/October.

We cover topics relevant to mission work such as:

  • Perspectives on the World Christian Movement
  • Witnessing
  • Prayer Walking
  • Team Relationships
  • Cross Cultural Communication
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Spiritual Gifts
  • Tradition, Culture, & Bible
  • Linguistics
  • Devotional Life
  • Culture Shock & Adaptation
  • And many more relevant topics

Long-Term Orientation also includes one week of Religion Specific TrainingDuring this week students focus on the religion of their intended mission field.  Currently we offer classes on Buddhism, Islam, and how to reach hurting and/or abused children. In the future we hope to offer classes on Judaism, Hinduism, and the First Nations People.
